History & Biography

Jeffrey
M. Waycott, President and Owner of Waycott Construction SE Inc., grew up in Saco, Maine, the son of a hard-working
contractor/developer. He went to work in the summers and weekends when he was
just 10 years old. Jeff, as a result of these years working with and for his
father, not only has the sound knowledge of the business, but also the hands-on
experience with every aspect of residential construction. He went to Southern
Maine Vocational/Technical Institute for 2 years in the building construction
department and received a degree. He established Northeast Builders in 1986 and
started into residential remodeling. With Northeast Builders, although he did a
lot of remodeling and additions, he also subcontracted work from Saco
Construction Inc., his father’s business, which entailed every area of large
subdivision construction.
In
1993, he started Waycott Construction and subsequently began developing
subdivisions on his own, as well as managing all of the projects of Saco
Construction, which eventually became exclusively a financial backer for their
projects. This included building roads to city standards, complete with sewer,
water, drainage, and underground utility systems, as well as every other area of
building such as excavation, concrete and masonry, framing, roofing, siding,
insulation, sheetrock, painting, landscaping, as well as every other area of
interior and exterior finish.
In
1996 Jeff bought from his father the subdivision known as Hillview Heights in
Saco Maine, building dozens of homes over the course of the next few years until
the project was completed. Waycott Construction built over five miles of
subdivision roads, which were eventually turned over to the municipality once
inspected and accepted as up to or above standard.
In 2002 he moved to Florida and began Waycott Construction Southeast,
Inc., yet continuing to operate Waycott Construction in the north. In Florida,
Jeff purchased properties desperately in need of repair, remodeled and improved
them, and sold them as quality homes. During this period he also began to
subcontract for DPM Contractors of Boca Raton and has since become a premier
residential contractor, fully licensed and insured, operating independently in
the residential remodeling business. By paying particular attention to other
contractors in the area, he has not only learned what to do, but also what NOT
to do. He has remodeled so many places in Boca Raton and Delray Beach that he
not only knows what to look for and what he is likely to run into, but can
anticipate these problems and take preventative action before they become
costly.
Today Jeff resides in Boca Raton, Florida with his wife and
family. He and his wife Carol have two teenage daughters, Danielle and Dakota,
who attend local schools. They are all active in the community and their church,
always willing to be of service in any way they can.
